What is MPK Hope?

The MPK Hope Resiliency Center, located in Monterey Park, CA, aims to provide support and healing to individuals directly or indirectly affected by the tragic events that occurred in January 2023. Our mission is to foster a resilient community by building strength, promoting recovery, and providing comprehensive support and recovery services.

Community Events

The center hosts vigils, memorials, and community gatherings to honor victims, foster healing, and strengthen solidarity while recomming to violence prevention.

Linkage to Resources

Case managers collaborate with families to assess their needs and connect them to social services, while the center leverages strong partnerships to ensure seamless referrals for legal aid, housing support, financial assistance, and more.

Therapeutic Services

Licensed therapists provide individual, family, and group counseling to address trauma, grief, and mental health, while play therapy, art therapy, and other holistic approaches support children and teens in processing their experiences.

    • Counseling and support group services are available on a sliding scale, based on household income and family size. This allows us to provide high-quality mental health care that is affordable.

    • Many of our educational workshops, community events, and resource referrals are free of charge.

    • We have a dedicated fund to provide financial assistance grants for families who are struggling with medical bills, funeral costs, lost wages, and other expenses related to the shooting incident.
