Candlelight vigil
Tuesday, January 21
On Tuesday, January 21st the city of Monterey Park will be hosting a candlelight vigil service to remember the events of January 21st, 2023 at City Hall. We invite all community members to attend this space of healing and support for one another. Attendees may also bring flowers or other items to leave at the flagpole in front of City Hall. Monterey park memorial survey
The MPK Hope Resiliency Center is working alongside the City of Monterey Park to build a permanent memorial to honor the lives lost during the events of January 21st, 2023. MPK Hope is a resiliency center supported by a number of organizations, that came together to provide assistance and aid to victims of the shooting. We are continuously creating and putting together resources and mental health services to facilitate the healing and rebuilding of the families, individuals, and communities affected by the Lunar New Year tragedy.
